Responding to the British Social Attitudes survey on public satisfaction with the NHS and social care, Acting Chief Executive and General Secretary of the 天美传媒, Dame Donna Kinnair said:
“Nurses on the NHS frontline in England experience the same dissatisfaction reported by patients - they know they can’t always give their patients the care and attention they’d like to.
“The steady decline we are witnessing can only be halted with sizeable investment throughout the NHS and care system. Ministers will be alarmed at figures that show last year’s funding increase hasn’t yet been felt where it matters most.
“Government and NHS must overcome their reticence on investing in healthcare professionals - it is more nurses and others who are needed to make the recent plans a reality for patients. New legislation must ensure that Ministers and others are accountable for staffing levels to ensure the patient experience is safe and of the highest quality.”
