First-year student membership promotion terms and conditions

For the first year of student membership, a 100% discount against the payment plan is offered for a limited time. This is a promotional offer and is valid for first-year students who join the RCN as a student member between 12 August 2024 – 11 August 2025 and meet the eligibility criteria.

 

Direct debit details will be requested when new, first-year students studying either a three or four year course join the RCN. After the first-year free membership has been completed, transfer to the full student payment plan (currently 84p per month) will be automatic upon transition from first to second year of study, based on the training completion date supplied by the member. The direct debit details supplied when joining will be used to collect the monthly student membership payment for year 2 and onwards. 

 

You can cancel your membership at any stage.


Eligibility for the first-year student membership promotion:

  1. First-year student, studying a course that will lead to registration with the NMC as a Nurse or Midwife.
  2. Meet the student membership criteria as outlined here.
  3. Those studying at a universities in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland on a three or four year course.
  4. Valid for those who join between 12 August 2024 – 11 August 2025.
  5. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer.

Those on a return to practice course are not currently eligible for the offer.
