POLICY: The contribution of registered nurses in Scotland鈥檚 care home teams

17 October 2016
RCN Scotland is starting a conversation with members and stakeholders about what the future will look like for care homes, and what the role of nursing will be in that future.
RCN Scotland is starting a conversation with members and stakeholders about what the future will look like for care homes, and what the role of nursing will be in that future.

This paper has been developed with RCN Scotland members working strategically in the care home sector and integration authorities. It sets out some thinking from a professional nursing perspective on what needs to be in place to ensure high quality registered nursing care can be provided in care homes.

Thinking about care homes in integrated health and social care is new for RCN Scotland, as it is for all professionals and organisations working in health and social care. RCN Scotland would like to know what you think about the issues raised in the paper and what should be the priorities for leaders in health and social care, including the care home sector.

If you’re interested in being part of the conversation, please contact Alice Gentle, Policy Officer, at alice.gentle@rcn.org.uk or 0131 662 6177

If you have any comments or would like to find out more information then please contact the RCN Scotland Policy team by emailing them at policyscotland@rcn.org.uk or by filling in the attached feedback form and sending it to Policy, RCN Scotland, 42 South Oswald Road, Edinburgh, EH9 2HH
